Having friends for lunch or dinner over summer? Wow them with some easy tabletop styling tips! Never under estimate the impact of fresh flowers, step out and go bold with vibrant colours such as the orchids pictured. Play with glassware that have different coloured tints and try to have a variation in heights and shapes. Eclecticism is making a huge comeback on the trend front so mixing and matching not only looks fantastic but will be right on trend.
A personal favorite when I have guests, is to have plenty of fresh fruit on display, with summer in full bloom there are plenty of fresh vibrant fruit varieties to chose from. Perhaps chose fruits that you wouldn’t normally. Dragon Fruit and Mangos look fantastic! & A big jug of water with plenty of ice blocks & lemon slices still makes its way into my summer dining sittings.
I think the most important thing is to keep it fun. Mix and match with the old and new in true St Kilda style. Use Fresh fruits and flowers in vibrant colours with plenty of glassware, whether it is vases, jars, beakers or drinking glasses.
